This cultivar is characterized by its average sized, tightly clenched, pyramidal shaped, winged bunches.
From the Frappato varietal, we produce a wine which is cherry-red in colour. This wine is fresh, pleasant, dry, and properly tannic with a very refined flavor. It has a very intense aroma of red fruits, roses and violets.
According to historical sources its presence on the Vittoria territory dates back to before the foundation of Vittoria, in the year 1607.
